RELOCATION NEWS: We are open for business during construction of The Wharf! The CYC Clubhouse has temporarily relocated to 660 Water Street, SW, Washington, DC 20024 (formerly the Channel Inn). All clubhouse and new dock facilities will be fully operational during construction until our final move to a new clubhouse at 800 Wharf Street SW in the Fall of 2017.



Capital Yacht Club, located in the heart of the nation's capital, is a private club that offers a comfortable and friendly atmosphere to members and guests from around the world. Capital Yacht Club offers members and guest boaters waterside and landside amenities.


Capital Yacht Club’s temporary clubhouse is a welcoming place to escape everyday stress and relax over a cocktail or cup of coffee. The clubhouse has a full-service bar, clubroom, formal library, shower facilities, laundry room, and patio area. The clubhouse also offers free wireless Internet access.

The full-service bar is open nightly. The bar is the club’s social center for sharing the day’s activities or planning the next trip to Three Sisters and beyond. The bar features hundreds of yacht club burgees from around the world.


The marina consists of new concrete fixed docks and can accommodate vessels from weekend cruisers to yachts up to 220 feet. Slips are available to members and visiting guests. Reservations are required for guest yachts.

Electrical power includes 30 and 50 amp service for all slips and three phase 100 amp on the T-heads.

Cable television is complimentary. Wireless Internet is available to all members and guests of the club.  Passes may be picked up from the front office.  Beacon WiFi provides Wifi services. 

Pump outs can be arranged for a small service fee. Capital Yacht Club is a certified DC Clean Marina and is a no discharge area.

Visiting boaters choosing to anchor at Capital Yacht Club may arrange for use of our transiting dock and club facilities for a small fee by contacting the Dockmaster, hailed on VHF channel 16 between 9am and 5pm daily.
